Have you ever tried the new Google+?
If you have, you will be amazed how Google transforms facebook and adds new features to it.
Google+ is making sharing (in a network) your own information more convenient and far-reaching provided that we already own a Google account. In a word, Google+ is powerful because it understands how to engage people.
What interested me is that while in facebook you post (in Google+, it is called stream) a message to all friends, Google+ let you choose the circle of friends. This makes sense if you have diverse social lives.
Google+ uses your email contacts in Google mail to help build your network, which also implies that not only it traces as simple as your location by your stream but also understand your social circle and life (or secrets) more in depth than you.
