South Bank, London

South Bank, London

Australian art administrator Michael Lynch was lately appointed the CEO of Hong Kong’s art centre of Kowloon West District.  What interests me is that he has run South Bank Centre of London till 2009.
South Bank is another popular spot in London. We were so tired of following the long queue to the London Eye and so a short stroll in this area was enough a pleasure.
The London Eye, London Film Museum and other artists performing in the open air are all the attractions.  Crowds of people.
When I saw the name Ozu labelled on the banner, I thought there was a retrospective showcase of the Japanese director Yasujiro Ozu’s films.  To my disappointment, Ozu is only an ordinary cafe.
So not sure what will happen to Kowloon West District art centre.  I hope it is not going to be a replica of South Bank.
